What kind of Food can you prepare in Pressure Cookers?
In short, almost everything.
It is especially good for multi-liter soups and stews. The rice is done in minutes while the beans and chickpeas are usually prepared in less than an hour.
Cooking in a Pressure Cookers shortens the time spent in the kitchen, creates new aromas and flavors, makes food healthier, and saves energy.
Initial use can be problematic though as you are not used to preparing food that way.
When cooking in a regular pot, you can always try the food, but you can’t do that in Pressure Cookers, so you need practice until you improve. But there are tables that indicate how long each food has been cooked.
For example, the average cooking time: Vegetable soup takes 10-12 minutes to cook in 2000ml of water, while stewed beef takes 40 minutes and 500ml of water and potato stew is cooked for 30 minutes in 750ml of liquid. Once you get used to using it, Pressure Cookers will become an indispensable part of your kitchen.
Here is a simple recipe:
- 70 dag of mixed minced meat
- 2 onions
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon ground sweet pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 tablespoons rice
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon of vegeta
- 1 kg paprika 1/2 dl olive oil
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2-3 tablespoons mashed or tomato concentrate
- a little salt and a little sugar
Peppers, preferably thin-walled and peeled, are cleaned of seeds. Put the minced meat in one bowl and add all the ingredients in order. Mix well, try to see if it tastes good. Fill the peppers with the mixture. Put oil in a pot and fry flour on it, as if making a toasted soup. Add mashed tomatoes or concentrate to it. Add water until you get the desired density of the sauce. Put stuffed peppers in the sauce, add a little salt and sugar Cover and cook for 20 minutes in a Pressure Cooker. Serve hot with plenty of sauce.
